Suraj wins title

BANGALORE: M. Suraj of Bangalore won the State under-19 chess title at Brahmavar, Udupi district, recently.

The tournament was conducted by the Udupi District Chess Association and Suraj scored six points from seven rounds.

Shrishti Shetty won the girls’ title with 5.5 points from six rounds. Both Suraj and Shrishti will represent Karnataka in the National under-19 championship.
