Australia triumphs

ROTTERDAM: Australia thrashed Spain 4-1 to win the men’s field hockey Champions Trophy here on Sunday. It was Australia’s ninth triumph, tying it for most titles won with Germany.

The results: Australia 4 (Abbott 6, Dwyer 52, Ockenden 61, Matheson 70) bt Spain 1 (Ribas 13).
