Borewells inaugurated

Five new borewells laid by the Rotary Club of Vijayawada in the slum area of Payakapuram and New Rajarajeswaripeta were inaugurated by Rotary District Governor P. Sadanand on Monday.

He noted that these borewells, laid at a cost of Rs.1.8 lakhs, would cater to the drinking water requirements of 2,000 families. Club president G.V. Mohan Prasad said the borewells were sunk at the request of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation.
