Beach swarms with children in support of Bhopal gas leak victims

CHENNAI: The Elliots Beach in Besant Nagar, which normally has a huge crowd of people spending their time merrily, saw a group of children gather for a rather serious cause on Sunday.

A human chain was formed as part of an event organised by the International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal to urge the Prime Minister to address the demands of the Bhopal gas tragedy victims.

The campaign also saw students from seven schools creating more than 300 paper-made hearts with messages supporting the Bhopal gas leak victims.

These would be posted to the children from Bhopal, currently in New Delhi, to be delivered to the Prime Minister by them.
