Heeding public outcry: Public Works Minister Mons Joseph directing officials to clear the traffic island at the Althara junction in the city on Monday. Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Public Works Mons Joseph on Monday directed officials in his department to remove the construction materials and debris piled up on the traffic island at the Althara junction. Media reportsThe Minister who visited the site following media reports, found the place piled high with tar barrels and bitumen. Cultural personalities and music lovers had expressed outrage over the disrespect to legendary music director G. Devarajan whose bust adorns the traffic island. He instructed officials to resurface the road around the traffic island and clean up the debris. Mr. Joseph was accompanied by Chief Engineer P.K.
