Century Plyboards sales, profit up

CHENNAI: Gross sales of Century Plyboards (I) Ltd. (CPIL), the leading plywood and veneer manufacturing company, has crossed the 1000-crore mark (on a consolidated basis) and has risen by 40 per cent to Rs. 1,001.45 crore in the 12 months ended March 31, 2007 from Rs. 715.75 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year. The net profit has improved to Rs. 111.67 crore from Rs. 77.46 crore. — Corporate Reporter
