Cyber cafes ordered to install cameras

Sirsa: In the wake of threatening e-mail to Dera Sacha chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh sent from a local cyber cafe to the Haryana Director General of Police recently, Sirsa District Magistrate V. Umashankar has ordered all the cafes owners in the district to install close circuit TV cameras in their premises with immediate effect.

Mr. Umashankar said here on Wednesday that it was brought to his notice that the cyber cafe owners were not maintaining proper records of their customers like their names, parentage, complete address, contact number and the duration for which the internet was used.
