VMC signs MoU on energy project

The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation on Wednesday signed a MoU with the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives South Asia for a British High Commission-funded project called ‘GOF Climate Change and Energy project’.

The project is aimed at reducing carbon emissions and achieving energy efficiency through a city level local action plan.

The project is also aimed at integrating the renewal energy and energy efficiency measures as a policy commitment under climate change and energy project.
