Guwahati: The Asom Gana Parishad on Wednesday said the Congress government’s stand on the ULFA issue was “confusing,” and demanded a clear policy on the peace process. On the one hand, members of the People’s Consultative Group of the United Liberation Front of Asom “are arrested and, on the other, it is being said the doors for negotiations are open,” AGP president Brindabon Goswami said here. “By arresting PCG members, the government is slowing down the peace process.” — PTI © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
