Panel completes hearing

CHENNAI: The Justice P. Shanmugam Commission, which was constituted to inquire into the alleged transcript that appeared in an English daily regarding the overhearing of a telephonic conversation between the Chief Secretary and a senior officer, completed hearing on Friday.

The Commission started work on April 16. Recording of oral evidence started on June 23 and completed on July 2, according to an official press release. — Special Correspondent
