Carnival that ferrets out kids’ skills

CHENNAI: Day three of `Come on Kidz – Sirar Sangamam’ on Friday saw a lot of fun and excitement when children participated in games and talent shows.

Twins Sathvika and Prithvika of Lady Andal Venkata Subba Rao Matric HSS said they enjoyed the games and lucky draws at the event, which is being organised by Tamil Maiyam and Eventspro Skykomm.

Several exciting activities have been lined up. Kids below the age of 10 can walk down the ramp along with their mothers on Sunday at the `Come on Kidz – Sirar Sangamam’ event at Nandambakkam. The event will be held between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. with celebrities judging the competition. The winners will get crowned ‘Gracious Mother and Intelligent daughter’ and also get gift hampers. Registration is open for the event.

On the same day the Talent Hunt competition would be held between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The competition will be among 15 teams and eight teams have already registered. Each team can have up to 10 children. The prizes for the event are Rs.20,000, Rs.10,000 and Rs.5,000.

On Saturday and Sunday talent shows by children, Hercules Adventure Zone and Snake and Ladder will be conducted between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. The prizes for the painting competition would be distributed by Hyundai Vice President S.Ganapathi at 5 p.m.

At the carnival, children below the age of 12 can click photos of stalls in the event and win prizes for best photos, pose for photos with Dora, buy books, listen to and download songs, pick up CDs and play games.
