The film has a down-on-luck hero who endears himself to a cine star who rescues him from some tricky situations. One Way Ticket The protagonist in One way ticket, Mammootty, plays the role of a ‘superstar’ who helps his fans in their hour of crisis. The film, directed by Bipin Prabhakar, has some catchy dialogues. The script is by Babu Janardanan. Kunhappu (Prithviraj) is a jeep driver who is president of the Mammootty Fans Association. He hails from a poor family and had to give up his studies to fend for the family. Kunhappu endears himself to the cine star who rescues him from some tricky situations. The plotKunhappu’s family falls on difficult times after the demise of his father. His maternal uncle Hajiyar (Jagathi Sreekumar) plots against Kunhappu under the false belief that he is trying to woo his daughter, Sajira (Radhika). At a friend’s wedding ceremony, Kunhappu befriends an ‘oppana’ dancer, Sunanda (Bhama), and falls in love with her. He plans to marry her but later drops the idea after learning that she is a Hindu. However, circumstances compel them to meet again when Sunanda entreats him to save her from the clutches of her villainous uncle (Thilakan) and his son (Nishant Sagar). Salimkumar, Jaffer Idukki, Maniyan Pillai Raju, Jagathi Sreekumar and Jagdeesh provide some hilarious moments. Girish Puthenchery and Kavya Madhavan’s lyrics are scored by Rahul Raj.
