IT professionals performing at ‘Ergo Blitz’ in Chennai on Saturday. CHENNAI: The team from Cognizant topped the honours on the first day of Ergo Blitz, the inter-corporate culturals organised by the tabloid Ergo. The team from “Euphonica Dance Academy” of the IT major, led by Jothivalan, came up trumps in the dance competition “Winning Moves” that saw 14 teams compete. Impressing the judges, John Britto of John Britto Dance Academy, Ramash of Raack Academy and Divya Darshini and Deepak of ‘Jodi Number 1’ fame, with their choreography and energetic performance, Cognizant stole a march over the other audience favourite, the team from HCL headed by Vinod. The third place was a tie between the teams from Citigroup Global and TCS. Mr. Britto and Mr. Ramash commended all the teams that participated for putting up a spirited performance. Most of the software professionals had been practising for the competitions past their work schedules over the past two weeks. Radio jockeys from Radio One, Arun Mozhi and Balaji kept the audience entertained with their wisecracks and audience interactivities during the show. SS Music VJ Gibran interviewed the participants on the sidelines of the show. The team from Wipro bagged the best cheering squad award. In its second day on Sunday, Ergo Blitz will run the vocal competitions “Singing Sensations”.
