Preventive custody

CHENNAI: As many as 2,864 people were taken into preventive custody during a six-day drive in the city.

According to an official release, special teams were formed to conduct vehicle checks and patrolling in the city. Those detained include absconding suspects, rowdy elements and four persons evading arrest warrants.
