Solatium announced

CHENNAI: Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on Saturday announced a solatium of Rs.1 lakh each to families of the missing seven fishermen of Nagapattinam district.

An official release stated that the fishermen belonged to Akkarapettai village.

Even after an exhaustive search, they could not be traced.

Considering their economic status, the Chief Minister ordered the release of solatium. — Special Correspondent
