Demand for cancellation of the list and formation of separate recruitment agency for Telangana

ADILABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) on Sunday demanded the cancellation of selection of candidates from Andhra region as Assistant Directors of Agriculture (ADA) in Telangana region as it contravene the provisions of G.O. 610 and other rules related to zonal appointments.

The party also demanded institution of a separate recruitment agency like Public Service Commission for Telangana region so that no injustice could be done with regard to employment in the region.

Violation

Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao and party leader Ch. Suhasini Reddy among others, alleged at a press conference that for the 14 posts in Telangana region a dozen candidates have been selected from Andhra region.This was gross violation by the Government itself of the relevant orders and rules on appointments specific to Telangana region, they added.

Circulate copies

The TRS leaders circulated copies of the selection list issued by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). They said that these recent appointments were yet another example of the Congress government’s insincerity in implementing the G.O. 610 and the Presidential Order which the ruling Congress party as promised during the 2004 elections.

The TRS leaders said many committees that were appointed by the government to go into the issue of removal of regional imbalance in the employment sector were still groping in the dark because of government’s insincerity. Mr. Harish Rao appealed to the employees and students in Telangana region to wake up to the injustices and unite for the cause of a separate State.
