Sutherland ties up with Jamba

CHENNAI: Multi-national BPO (business process outsroucing) company Sutherland Global Services, with significant offshore operations in Chennai, Kochi and Mumbai, has initialled a customer and technical support outsourcing agreement with California-headquartered Jamba, a leading mobile entertainment brand.

Jamba is a joint venture between News Corporation and VeriSign Inc. Jamba supports more than 2,800 devices and provides billing connectivity to over 125 operators worldwide.

As part of this outsourcing agreement, Sutherland will provide product usage support, billing queries, contract extensions and technical support to Jamba’s customers. This is expected to ensure that customers have uninterrupted access to the mobile entertainment products and services.

“Jamba is a renowned name in the global mobile entertainment industry. We are pleased to have the opportunity to leverage our deep domain expertise and global presence to design outsourcing solutions that enhance the competitive position of our clients,” a release quoted Dilip Vellodi, Chairman and CEO, Sutherland Global Services, as saying.

Founded in 1986, Rochester-headquartered Sutherland employs over 21,000 people globally. The company, which has over 11,000 employees in India, is in the process of setting up a campus in Chennai that will support 10,000 people.
