Bhuma launches attack against TDP

KURNOOL: Former MP Bhuma Nagireddy, who quit the Telugu Desam Party two days ago, launched a scathing attack on the leadership challenging it for a bout.

Talking to reporters here on Monday, he took exception to some of the TDP leaders levelling charges of land grabbing against him and accused Mr. Chandrababu Naidu of being behind it. If the TDP leadership wanted to have a tiff with him, Mr. Nagireddy said he was ready to bare his soul making public the injustice done to Telangana by Mr. Naidu during the BJP rule at the centre. Mr. Naidu had taken the Telangana for a ride for a few people. It would be mutually good if they respected each other.

Mr. Nagireddy said that he and his wife had gracefully exited the party on personal grounds and offered some suggestions for improving the parental party. But the leadership did not pay heed to their feelings. The party leadership had the liberty either to accept or reject their suggestions. Quelling doubts on his joining hands with Chiranjeevi, he said no decision is taken on that matter. Mr. Chiranjeevi should start the party and announce his political policies for public scrutiny, he remarked.
