HYDERABAD: Wireless connectivity will be another feather in the cap for the Hyderabad Race Club (HRC), the first turf authority in the country to introduce the feature. “This would reduce time in issue of tickets at off-course betting centres to just three seconds,” said Dr. B. Sridhar, Secretary, HRC at a press conference here on Monday. To keep away non-racing enthusiasts from the above-mentioned centres, an admission fee of Rs. 10 would be charged per entrant in the near future, while members will have free access, he said. For better utilisation of the club’s Malakpet premises, three more blocks of two-storied stables would be constructed, while there was a proposal to link up the grand and members stands in future, Dr. Sridhar said. Also present at the conference were stewards K. Srinivas Reddy, K. Bhupal Reddy, Hari Kishen Gupta, Amarnath Gupta, C.S. Suresh and Advisor Dr. M. A. Mirza.
