NELOGAL (Haveri): Elaborate security arrangements were made in and around Haveri city on Tuesday, in connection with the funeral of farmer Puttappa Honnatti. Inspector-General of Police (North Range) Raghavendra Auradkar monitored the security arrangements. A large posse of police personnel was present in Haveri city. In Nelogal village, most of the personnel were seen in plain clothes. Deputy Commissioner of Haveri P.S. Vastrad, Haveri Tahsildar Prashant Nalwad and in-charge Superintendent of Police Manjunath were present at the village till the funeral was over. Road closedAs a precautionary measure, National Highway 4 leading to Nelogal from Haveri was kept closed. Vehicles were diverted to other routes from around 3.30 p.m..
