Chennai: The Chennai Corporation on Tuesday suspended van driver S.Ramamurthy who was involved in an accident in which a two-wheeler rider was killed in Triplicane on Monday. Ramamurthy drove the ladder-mounted, streetlight repair vehicle which ran over K. Vageesan who was riding his two-wheeler back home on Monday morning. The police said the speeding van was on the wrong lane. Apart from the suspension, Corporation officials also said that Ramamurthy’s driver’s licence would be revoked.
