Tintu qualifies

NEW DELHI: Tintu Luka and S. R. Bindu qualified for the next round in the junior women’s 800 metres on the opening day of the World junior athletics championships at Bydogszcz, Poland, on Tuesday.

Bindu qualified by finishing fourth in her heat with a time of 2:09.51 while the other Indian in the line-up, Tintu, had to make it as one of the ‘fastest losers’ as she ended sixth in her heat in 2:09.20.
