Diversions at Peter’s Road junction

CHENNAI: In order to ease traffic congestion at the Peter’s Road junction on Anna Salai, the police have announced the following diversions that would take effect from 7 a.m. on July 19. The median opening at the Anna Salai–Peter’s Road junction would be closed. Vehicles proceeding towards Peter’s Road from the Anna Salai flyover would have to take the White’s Road after taking a right turn at the Anna Salai-White’s Road junction. A portion of the White’s Road from Anna Salai to the Thiru Vi Ka Road-White’s Road junction would be made one-way. Similarly, the stretch between Thiru Vi Ka Road-White’s Road and Thiru Vi Ka Road-Peter’s Road junction would be made one-way.

Vehicles coming from Conron Smith Road would not be able to move straight beyond the Peter’s Road-Thiru Vi Ka Road junction. The vehicles could move either towards Anna Salai by taking a left turn or towards the Royapettah-Peter’s Road junction by taking a right turn.The movement of vehicles on the Thiru Vi Ka Road from Anna Salai would remain unchanged.
