BANGALORE: The Bangalore Rural Zilla Panchayat plans to spend Rs. 124 crore to execute projects estimated at Rs. 73 crore this financial year. In the action plan for 2008-09, presented before the 12th meeting of the zilla panchayat here, president C. Muniyappa said the Government had allocated Rs. 5,578.1 lakh towards plan expenditure and Rs. 14,111.873 lakh towards non-Plan expenditure. Of the allotted sum, Rs. 12,380 lakh would be spent on salaries and Rs. 7,309 lakh would be spent on various projects, he said. Under Plan expenditure, the zilla panchayat would spend Rs. 1,673 lakh, taluk panchayats Rs. 698.67 lakh and grama panchayats Rs. 1,986.40 lakh towards undertaking various works. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
