Double for Vinay Hari

BANGALORE: It was a well-deserved double for Vinay Hari, who claimed both the boys’ under-16 singles title beating Shashank Menon 21-12, 21-16 and doubles title partnering Channbasava in the Canara Bank State-ranking badminton championship.

The other winners were Suraj Shetty (boys’ under-13 singles), Uttara Prakash (girls’ under-16 singles) and Reshma Karthik (girls’ under-13 singles).

Boys: Under-16 singles: Vinay Hari bt Shashank Menon 21-12, 21-16; Doubles: Vinay Hari & Channbasava R. Jyoti bt K. Akshay & Shashank Menon 21-18, 21-18.

Girls: Under-13 singles: Reshma Karthik bt Vaishnavi Iyer 21-13, 21-14. Under-16 singles: Uttara Prakash bt Anagha Unni 21-12, 21-18.
