No water for four days

BANGALORE: There will be no water supply in some parts of the city from July 16 to 20 as the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is undertaking the work to shift water transmission line on Uttarahalli-Kengeri Road. According to a press release, the alignment of Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor Road near Channasandra cuts across the 1625 mm Cauvery IV Stage transmission line.

The areas that will be affected are:

West Division: Nagarabhavi all stages, Chandra Layout, Vijayanagar, Hampinagar, R.R. Nagar, Kengeri, West of Chord Road 2nd Stage, Mahalakshmi Layout, Magadi Road.

North Division: Sahakarnagar, Byatarayanapura, Yelahanka, parts of Vidyaranaypura, Dasarahalli, part of Jalahalli HMT, Siddarthanagar, and BIAL.

East Division: Konenana Agrahara, BDA Layout, HAL factory, Defence Quarters at Marathhalli, Akashvihar, AECS Layout, Garudacharpalya, Mahadevapura, B. Narayanapura, KIADB area and ITPL.

South East Division: Nanjareddy Colony, Murugeshpalya, Vinayaka Layout, parts of Domlur, Amarjyothi Layout, Domestic Campus (Defence), ISRO, NAL, Kodihalli, IIM Airport, Koramangala 1st Block, Teachers’ Colony, Jakkasandra Extension, CPWD Quarters, KSRP Quarters up to 4th Block, and HSR Layout.

South Division: BTM Layout, J.P. Nagar, Maruthinagar, Vijaya Bank Layout, Electronics City and Okalipuram in Central Division.

People have been advised to store water. The BWSSB said that the regular water supply would be restored from July 20.
