Visakha Music and Dance Academy organised a programme last week at Kalabharati where retired professor of Telugu of Andhra University, Dr. K. Malayavasini explained the speciality of Ramayana.

She explained how the song Seethamma Vaakita Sirimallechettu, Sirimallechettemo Chitakaboosindi remains a favourite in the hearts of men. Vaamanaguntalu, Daagudumoothalu, Udaraguppeelu and other games played by Seetha, her wedding, vanavaasam, stay in Lanka, her meeting with Hanuman were some episodes which Seetha dwelt upon.
