For aspiring musicians

Inspired by the success of IPL, the International Society For Laya Awareness (ISLA), has come out with 40:40 programme to discover musical talent. The Society will organise 40 concerts of 40-minute duration each for three days, August 15-17 at Ragasudha Hall.

This initiative will provide musicians of all sorts in the age group of 15-35 a platform to showcase their talent in Carnatic music. Six teams will be selected for cash awards. They will get an opportunity to perform in the December music festival.

The last date for accepting applications is July 25. The entry fee is Rs.1,000. For details, contact Ghatam Suresh (9445306089).
