Lisieux and Rajalakshmi ‘A’ in last four

Coimbatore: Lisieux MHSS defeated Mani HSS 43-33 and entered the junior boys’ semifinals in the 54th YMCA basketball tournament for the S. Venkatakrishnan Trophy at the YMCA courts here on Thursday.

In another low scoring encounter, Rajalakshmi ‘A’ got past Kikani HSS 24-11 for a place in the last four.

The results: Quarterfinals: Lisieux MHSS 43 (Arun Kumar 19) bt Mani HSS 33 (Naveen Kishore 15); Rajalakshmi ‘A’ 24 (Hari Prasad 11) bt Kikani HSS 11; Perks w/o. PSG Saravajana HSS.

Cross country race

About 400 boys and girls are expected to take part in the annual cross country race, organised by the Stanes AIHSS, here on July 12 at 6.30 a.m. The race will start from the B4 Police Station at Race Course road and conclude at the school premises. — Sports Reporter
