Exclusive PRS counters at MMTS stations

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Exclusive computerised Passenger Reservation System counters have been commissioned at 13 MMTS railway stations in the twin cities, a press note from the South Central Railway informed on Thursday.

The corresponding stations are James Street, Sanjeevaiah Park, Necklace Road, Khairatabad, Lakdikapul, Nature Cure Hospital, Fatehnagar Bridge, Bharatnagar, Borabanda, Hitech City, Hafeezpet, Chanda Nagar, and Lingampalli.

Until now, the PRS counters were combined with the Unreserved Ticketing System at these stations. Now they will function separately thereby reducing queues at Hyderabad and Secunderabad stations.

While the counters at James Street and Sanjeevaiah Park will function from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., those at the Necklace Road station will function from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The counters at all other station will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
