Ayub’s associate held, arms seized

HYDERABAD: City Police on Thursday arrested Shaik Meeraj Ahmed, a close associate of alleged gangster Ayub Khan who was lodged in jail, and seized two knives and a sword from him.

A car belonging to Khan, in which Ahmed was travelling, was also seized, the Commissioner’s Task Force (North) Inspector V. Syam Babu said. Ahmed allegedly aided and abetted Khan in commission of several crimes, including extortions, robberies and land grabbing. On a tip-off, the police picked up him at Necklace road.
