GUNTUR: Christian leaders at a district level convention have expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy for his efforts to include Dalit Christians in the Scheduled Castes, promising housing provision for Christian pastors. At a meeting convened by All India Bible Society vice-president P.N.S. Bose here, a galaxy of prominent Christian leaders including AMG International director Arun Kumar Mohanty, State Minority Commission vice-president Pratap Sinha, YMCA regional chairman M. Johnson, AELC president V.E. Christopher, Professor Samuel and Joseph Kommanapalli spoke of the various needs of the Christian community. The meeting also discussed the framework for constitution of minority Welfare Corporation for Christians. Rev. Bose was nominated convener of the District Pastors Fellowship, while Arun Kumar Mohanty, V.E. Christopher, Suresh, Zakaraiah and Rayappa were nominated as members.
