Corrections and clarifications

The second paragraph in “A highly improper step” (Editorial, July 11, 2008) was “Turning to the draft agreement itself, the 23-page text consists of three parts — a fairly detailed preamble, 130 numbered clauses, and an annex listing the facilities that will be subject to safeguards under the agreement”, while a report “Draft Safeguards Agreement with IAEA made public” (July 11, 2008) said, in the second paragraph, “The 25-page document is divided into 11 sections, besides a preamble ….”

The actual text is 23 pages, but two cover pages added by the IAEA make the overall document 25 pages.
