Hizb militant arrested

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested a “commander” of the Hizb ul Mujahideen after an encounter in Kupwara district.

Acting on a tip off, police and troops of the 30 Rashtriya Rifles launched an operation on Friday morning, a police spokesman said.

The militant then tried to break the cordon and flee, but he was arrested.
