North in trouble

VIJAYAWADA: L. Chanukya (four for 25) helped North Zone restrict Central Zone to 187 in 46.1 overs in the three-day ACA u-19 inter-zonal tournament for P. Narasimha Raju Trophy here on Friday. At draw of stumps, North Zone was tottering 72 for seven.

The scores: Central Zone 187 in 46.1 overs (R.P. Anil 41, L. Chanukya four for 25) vs. North Zone 72 for seven in 40.2 overs (B. Sudhakar three for six).

Selection trials

Trials, to select the Vizianagaram district women’s under-19 and seniors cricket teams, will be held at the Vizzy Stadium, Vizianagaram, on July 12 from 8 a.m. Those interested may report at the venue.
