Narayana JC triumphs

HYDERABAD: Narayana Junior college defeated Bhavans Junior college 3-1 in the final of the Sachdev Sports sponsored inter college football tournament at the Trimulgherry ground here on Friday.

After change of ends, Shashank (twice) and Anuj scored for Narayana while Zama reduced the margin for Bhavans.

Aloysuius Jesuraj of LFJC, Joshua of Bhavans and Rahul and Anuj of Narayana were adjudged best players of the tournament.

Seven from AP in India squad

The following seven players from AP have been selected to represent India in the Asian Youth chess championship to be held in Tehran from July 15: Pratyusha and Navya Vaishnavi (girls’ u-12), N.L.V. Anusha (u-14), Grahesh (boys under-8), Rewant Reddy and Moineesh (under-10) and P.V.S.N. Praveen Kumar (under-12).
