NEW DELHI: Haryana Chief Minister B.S. Hooda on Saturday said the Budget for the current year for technical education in the State had been increased to Rs.150 crore from Rs.30 crore in 2004-05. Speaking at the 11th Convocation of Apeejay Education Society at Dwarka here, he said his government had received applications from five parties for establishment of private universities in Haryana. Seats in technical institutions in the State would be increased from the present 78,000 to 100,000 by 2010, the Chief Minister added. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
