BANGALORE: Sarla Birla Academy (SBA) scored a 3-1 win over St. Germain’s HS in a pool ‘A’ league match of the Fr. Eric Vaz memorial hockey tournament for juniors, at the KSHA stadium here on Saturday.

Jose Paul Johnson put the winner in the lead in the 16th minute. However, Akash equalised in the 31st minute for Germain’s.

A couple of goals by D. Bharath (37th, 45th) ensured that Sarla Birla picked up full points.

In the Centenary Shield tournament for seniors, Bishop Cotton Boys School downed Frank Anthony Public School (FAPS) by an odd goal in three.

Abhishek Kumar scored both the goals for the winner while V. Joshua scored the only goal for FAPS. There will be no matches on Sunday.
