Addressing the director board here on Friday, Mr. Peter said out of the total budgetary allocation, Rs.240.39 crore had been earmarked for rubber plantation expansion, research would get Rs.65.05 crore, and processing, quality enhancement and export promotion segments would get Rs.45 crore each. Rubber production during 2007-08 registered a drop of 3.2 per cent and reached 8,25,345 tonnes, he said.
