11 share lead

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Favourites M. Manu, Athul Krishna and S.L. Narayanan were among the 11 players who shared the lead in the boys section at the end of the first round of the State Under-11 chess tournament at the Chandrasekharan Nair stadium here on Saturday.

In the girls section, rated players C.H. Meghana, P. Gayathri and S.R. Vaisakhi won their first round matches with ease. A total of 60 players are taking part in the three-day tournament.
