Anti-liquor lobby: Members of the Pattali Mahalir Sangam staging an agitation in Tiruchi on Saturday.

TIRUCHI: Members of the Pattali Mahalir Sangam, a women’s wing organisation of the Pattali Makkal Katchi, staged an anti-liquor demonstration at Chinthamani in the city on Saturday.

Holding party flags, the members demanded the closure of Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation liquor shops across the State. The demonstration was led by its state deputy secretary C. Leema Sivakumar.

Similar demonstrations were held at Tiruverumbur, Samayarpuram, Jeeyapuram, Musiri, Ramjinagar and Thuvakudi.
