Bangalore: Swimmer Virdhawal Khade created a new national record in the semifinals of the 100m freestyle of the FINA World Youth Swimming Championship at Monterrey, Mexico on Saturday. According to a press release, Khade clocked 50.49s to erase the earlier national record of 50.64s that he himself had set four days ago while swimming the first leg of the 4x100m freestyle relay. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
