Five share lead

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Five players shared lead with 3.5 points each in the boys’ section at the end of the fourth round of the State Under-11 chess tournament at the Chandrashekaran Nair stadium here on Sunday.

M. Manu (Knr), Athul Krishna (Kzde), S.L. Narayanan (Tvm), Aravind Nath Rajesh (Ekm) and S. Anand (Ekm) were the players in the lead.

In the girls’ section, C.S. Meghana (Tvm) was the sole leader with four points. Hilmi Parveen (3.5 pts) was in the second spot at the end of the fourth round. — Principal Correspondent
