CHENNAI: “The problem is not the students, but parents,” says N.C. Sridharan, lawyer, educationist and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) consultant, whose commitment to education is exceeded only by his passion to reach out to parents. For the past 15 years, Mr.Sridharan has authored books, anchored programmes on television and published a monthly magazine to make parents more aware of how they can bring out the best in their children. The latest offering, from the bouquet of resources he has created for parents, is a DVD, ‘Enda kuzhandayum, nalla kuzahndaidaan’ (Every child is special) which will be released in Tiruvallur on Sunday. The title summarises Mr. Sridharan’s philosophy: he believes that every child has the capability to become a genius. The books he has authored, like ‘Your child can also become an Einstein,’ ‘Easy, very very easy’, are written in simple Tamil. Parents feel that by admitting their children to school, their responsibility is over. It is not, he says quoting Mrs.Y.G.Parthasarathy, Dean and Director of Padma Seshadri group of schools, featured in the DVD. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
