Narayanan, Meghana win

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: S.L. Narayanan (Thiruvananthapuram) and C.H. Meghana (Ernakulam) won the boys’ and girls’ titles respectively in the State under-11 chess tournament, which concluded at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, here on Monday.

Narayanan kept a clean slate with six points in the six-round tournament to win the first prize. M. Manu (Kozhikode) came second with 5.5 points, while S. Anand (Ernakulam) finished third with 5.5 points.

Meghana came first with five points, while Nirmala (Ernakulam) was second with four points. Hilmi Parveen (Thiruvananthapuram) was third with 3.5 points.
