VISAKHAPATNAM: Officials of the CBI laid a trap and caught branch manager of Andhra Pragati Grameena Bank at Bogula Bitragunta mandal in Nellore district while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000 from a beneficiary of a government scheme on Tuesday. According to a press release from the Superintendent of Police of CBI here, the accused person Aswini Kumar Reddy was caught while he demanded and accepted the bribe from a beneficiary of Rajiv Yuva Shakti for sanctioning a loan of Rs. 1 lakh. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
