Chettinad Cement Q1 profit at Rs. 44 crore

CHENNAI: Chettinad Cement Corporation has reported a total income of Rs. 282.41 crore in the first three months ended June 30, 2008, against Rs. 200.56 crore in the year-ago period. The operating profit has risen sharply to Rs. 113.35 crore from Rs. 73.20 crore and the net profit after tax to Rs. 43.54 crore from Rs. 35.13 crore during the period under reference. — Corporate Reporter
