CHENNAI: The Central Crime Branch police on Tuesday arrested S.B. Krishnan (38) of Perambur on charges of cheating a public sector bank of Rs.48 lakh which he had obtained in the form of two loans. Police said the accused had obtained a loan of Rs.36 lakh in 2004 for establishing a poultry farm. He submitted fake documents in support of the information given in the application. Similarly, he obtained a home loan of Rs.12 lakh too by furnishing fake documents. Based on a complaint which was lodged by the bank manager, the police arrested Krishnan.
