Health check for councillors

Held at Santosh Hospital in Besant Nagar

Chennai: Santosh Hospital in Besant Nagar conducted a total health check for councillors of the Chennai Corporation on Sunday. Mayor M. Subramanian said that councillors would be screened twice a year as their work for public welfare made demands on their health.

The medical investigations included blood test, ECG, body fat analysis, lipid profile and bone mineral density test.

The programme’s cost, about Rs.50 lakh, would be borne by the hospital, a release said.
