Kakinada: A two-week All India Crafts Bazaar is being organised by Srikalahasti-based Kala Srusti, a handlooms and handicrafts artisans’ association, at TTD kalyanamandapam here from Thursday. More than 150 artisans will display their products, according to association secretary G. Dasaradhachari. The sales are expected to fetch up to Rs. 10 lakhs. Kala Srusti is striving for the welfare of artisans by getting common facility service centres and design development workshops constructed in different parts with the help of government departments concerned to train artisans and promote their works. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
